The problem comes up after Win10 pro installation. With Win10pro there wasn’t any problem. BDE is a library, not a separate process server. And elevated BDE might have different settings idapi. Though not a full replacement for the Borland Database Desktop, it has some new features, manages most tasks, and runs without any problems on og bit Windows, even with Windows 10 in it’s recent release I have been studying ‘Delphi’.

But unfortunately, I could not use ‘DBD32’ after I upgraded my laptop operating system form windows 7 to windows That program is terminated by compulsion whenever I execute. While I searched solution, I found this site. So I can last this studying. Thank you very much. Very useful, thanks!

It hung up and become unresponsive. I double-clicked on it to abort. I had to uncheck the BDE with a custom install to complete the D4 installation. I used it in my install script and it seemed to work. But I don’t know for sure. BDE was apparently already on my Win10 machine from a previous install. Perhaps some of the updates made the old version incompatible? I tried this on my Win8 machine and it didn’t work.

It gave several prompts and then an error message. Of course, I don’t understand Spanish.
